Participation

 

  • Interested parties may choose to participate as an individual or in groups, and whether to represent their organisation or participate personally.

 

  • Regardless of participation category, participants must be 18 years and above (except school students).

 

  • For a group participation, there shall be not more than six (6) group members (including the leader) in the group.

 

  • As for participation representing organizations, the organization must be registered with the Ministry of Finance/Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)/Registrar of Societies (ROS) Malaysia/Social Welfare Department Malaysia.

 

  • Participants who have participated in previous Innovation, Invention, and Design competition/s must upgrade/improve/enhance their innovation idea/product for INDES 2016

 

  • Teacher/s is/are allowed to lead their group of students as long as the product is of their students' idea and the students agree to it

 

  • All decisions regarding the score and results are made by professional jury, consisting of industry experts and academicians and are final

 

  • Accommodation is the responsibility of the participants. However, UiTM offers on-campus accommodation at a reasonable rate

 

  • Each group/participant is only eligible to receive ONE (1) goodie bag from the organizer

 

  • Each winner is only given ONE (1) certificate and ONE (1) medal. However, other group members may place bookings on additional certificates and/or medals with the secretariat on the day of competition.

 

Food

 

  • Food is provided on the 9th of November only (exhibition day) for two (2) members in the group, regardless of the size of the group

 

 

Exhibition-related equipment

 

  • Please note that the organiser will only provide the equipment as shown in the booth layout document i.e. one (1) table measuring 1200mm (length) by 600mm (width) and one (1) partition 

 

  • Kindly bring the necessary equipment for booth preparation e.g. extension cords/cables, masking tape, poster hook, string, scissors, hammer etc. as they are NOT provided by the organiser

 

 

Fee

 

  • The participation fee will be based on the participant's affiliation e.g. if a Malaysian student is studying anywhere outside of Malaysia, the fee will be the international professional group's. Likewise, if an international student is studying in a local (Malaysian) university, a local fee is imposed.

 

  • Only one (1) adult (being a teacher) is allowed to lead the group if it is registered under the student category. 

 

  • Participants who have made the payment for registration fee is advised to email the scanned hardcopy/screenshot of the payment page to the secretariat within the SAME MONTH that the payment was made in order for a receipt of payment to be sent.
